1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using Date Roll (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (these “Terms”), to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the App.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of Date Roll. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding how we handle information, the Privacy Policy controls for that subject.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Date Roll.

By using Date Roll, you represent that you:

  • are at least 18 years old;
  • have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
  • will use Date Roll in compliance with all applicable laws.

Date Roll does not currently verify your age. If Date Roll later adopts an age-gating mechanism, this section and the Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect it.

Some venues recommended through Date Roll may have their own independent age restrictions — for example, bars, breweries, or nightlife establishments that require guests to meet a legal drinking or entry age. Date Roll does not control, verify, or guarantee compliance with any venue’s own age or admission policies; that is between you and the venue. See “Venue and Third-Party Information” below.

3. What Date Roll Does

Date Roll is a discovery, recommendation, and decision-support tool for date and activity planning. It helps you discover nearby venues and activities based on preferences you provide, and narrows your options down through its roll-and-cut experience so you can decide what to do.

Date Roll is not a dating, matchmaking, or social-networking service. It does not connect you with other Date Roll users, facilitate introductions, or provide messaging or communication features between users. Date Roll assumes you already know who you’re spending time with — its job is helping you decide what to do together, not who to do it with.

Date Roll does not operate, own, or control the venues it recommends. Except as expressly stated in these Terms, Date Roll does not guarantee:

  • that a recommended venue will have a table, reservation, or space available;
  • admission, entry, or that any age, dress-code, or other venue-specific requirement will be met;
  • that a venue remains open, in business, or unchanged since it was last indexed;
  • current pricing, menus, or offerings;
  • accessibility features;
  • wait times; or
  • that third-party information about a venue is complete, accurate, or current.

We work to surface useful, relevant recommendations, but the businesses we recommend are independent third parties we don’t run — see “Venue and Third-Party Information” below for how to handle details that matter to your plans.

4. Venue and Third-Party Information

Venue information shown in Date Roll may come from sources such as Google Places and the venues themselves. This information can change — sometimes quickly, and sometimes without our knowledge or Google’s.

Before relying on any detail that matters to your plans, confirm it directly with the venue. This especially includes:

  • hours of operation;
  • pricing;
  • availability and reservations;
  • admission or entry requirements, including age restrictions;
  • accessibility;
  • menus;
  • dress codes;
  • parking; and
  • event schedules.

Date Roll is not responsible for a venue changing its own information after a recommendation is generated, or for inaccuracies in information supplied by Google Places or the venue itself, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Date Roll Premium and Subscriptions

Premium. Certain features (“Date Roll Premium”) require a paid subscription. Premium features may evolve over time — we may add, change, or improve what’s included — but we intend for subscribers to continue receiving value consistent with what they signed up for, subject to applicable law. We don’t guarantee the availability of any specific feature that hasn’t yet been released.

Auto-Renewal. Date Roll Premium subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play automatically renew for the length of the billing period you selected, unless canceled before the end of the current period through the applicable store, in accordance with Apple’s or Google’s rules for that platform.

Pricing. The price and billing period shown in the applicable App Store or Google Play purchase screen at the time of purchase controls. Pricing may vary by platform, region, or promotion, and may be subject to applicable taxes. We may change our pricing over time; changes to recurring subscription pricing will be presented and handled through the applicable store’s required process.

Trials and Promotions. Date Roll may, from time to time, offer free trials, introductory pricing, or other promotions. Where offered, the specific terms presented with that offer control, including eligibility and what happens when the trial or promotional period ends.

Cancellation. You can manage or cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings (or, where available, an in-app subscription-management option). Canceling generally stops future renewal but does not immediately end access you’ve already paid for — you’ll typically continue to have access through the end of the period you already paid for, subject to the applicable store’s rules.

Refunds. Premium purchases are billed and processed by Apple or Google, not directly by Date Roll. Refund eligibility and requests for purchases processed through Apple or Google are generally handled under the applicable store’s policies and processes, subject to applicable law.

Restore Purchases. Where supported, Date Roll offers a “Restore Purchases” option to reapply an existing subscription tied to your store account. We can’t guarantee restoration will succeed in every case — for example, where store records don’t support it, platform conditions prevent it, or the purchase is tied to a different store account that can’t be linked to your current one.

6. Free Features and Usage Limits

Date Roll’s free (“Standard”) functionality may be subject to reasonable usage limits — for example, a limit on how many live venue searches you can run within a given period. These limits may change over time as the product evolves. Where a limit materially affects how you can use the App, we’ll disclose it within the product itself.

Date Roll Premium may offer expanded usage compared to Standard, but subscribing to Premium does not by itself guarantee unlimited use of every feature unless we specifically state otherwise for that feature.

7. Your Responsibilities

You’re responsible for your own decisions and conduct when using recommendations from Date Roll, including:

  • deciding whether, when, and how to visit a recommended venue;
  • arranging your own transportation;
  • complying with applicable law;
  • complying with each venue’s own rules, policies, and age or admission requirements;
  • verifying details that matter to you directly with the venue; and
  • exercising your own judgment about your personal safety and circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any right or protection you have under applicable law that cannot be waived by agreement.

8. Acceptable Use

When using Date Roll, you agree not to:

  • use the App for any unlawful purpose;
  • interfere with or disrupt Date Roll’s infrastructure or services;
  • attempt to circumvent security measures or usage limits;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the App using automated means;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
  • misuse or abuse Date Roll’s APIs or backend services;
  • engage in fraudulent purchase activity; or
  • use Date Roll in a way that infringes or violates the rights of any third party.

We may take reasonable steps to address violations of this section, as described in “Suspension and Termination” below.

9. Intellectual Property

Date Roll’s branding, original user interface, original written content, software, and other proprietary elements of the App belong to Date Roll or our licensors. Except as needed to use the App as intended, these Terms don’t grant you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them.

Date Roll does not claim ownership of Google Places data, third-party venue names, logos, or trademarks, third-party photos, or any other third-party content or intellectual property that may appear through the App. Those rights remain with their respective owners.

10. Feedback

If you voluntarily send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Date Roll, you agree that we may use that feedback to maintain, improve, or develop the App without any obligation to compensate you. This doesn’t give Date Roll any ownership over unrelated intellectual property that belongs to you.

11. Third-Party Services

Date Roll relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Places, Supabase, RevenueCat, and, where applicable, Apple and Google Play. These providers have their own terms and privacy practices governing their own services, which we don’t control. Your use of features that rely on these providers may also be subject to their terms, where applicable.

12. Service Availability and Changes

We may maintain, update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features of Date Roll at any time. We’ll try to do this in a way that’s reasonable given the App’s current state. For paid Premium subscribers, we don’t intend to remove the core value of what you subscribed for during a period you’ve already paid for without cause, consistent with applicable consumer-protection law and the auto-renewal terms above.

13. Disclaimers

Date Roll is provided on an “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Third-party venue information displayed in the App may contain inaccuracies or become outdated, as described in “Venue and Third-Party Information” above.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Date Roll disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in this section limits any warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to disclaim.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Date Roll and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of those damages.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Date Roll’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App will not exceed the amount you paid to Date Roll, if any, in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Date Roll harmless from third-party claims directly arising from: (a) your unlawful use of the App; (b) your material breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of another person’s or entity’s rights through your use of the App. This obligation doesn’t apply to claims arising from Date Roll’s own actions or from your ordinary, permitted use of the App.

16. Suspension and Termination

Date Roll does not currently require an account, so there isn’t an “account” for us to terminate. If necessary to address abuse, security issues, unlawful activity, or to protect the App and its users, we may restrict or limit access to Date Roll in reasonable ways available to us.

Restricting or limiting access to the App does not necessarily, by itself, technically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription — subscriptions are managed independently through those platforms, as described in “Date Roll Premium and Subscriptions” above.

If we materially restrict or terminate your access to paid Premium functionality for reasons other than your violation of these Terms, we will handle the affected subscription consistent with applicable law and the policies and capabilities of the applicable app store. Users remain responsible for managing cancellation of subscriptions through their Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings where required.

17. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how Date Roll collects, uses, and stores information, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it separately.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. This provision does not limit any consumer protection rights you may have under mandatory laws applicable to you.

Before pursuing a formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us at support@getdateroll.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as Date Roll evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date below and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice — for example, within the App. Your continued use of Date Roll after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes will not retroactively alter rights or obligations that have already accrued, or reduce paid subscription benefits for a period already purchased, where applicable law or applicable app-store requirements prohibit doing so.
